State of Trans Discussion

“The social and political climate across the country has been changing rapidly for everyone including the transgender community. The impacts of changing laws, repealed recommendations, violence against transgender individuals, an ongoing global pandemic, and increased awareness of the intersections of race, gender, and poverty on the experiences of transgender individuals have made it difficult to address the needs and wants of the community.

This panel discussion seeks to look at the current trends and experiences of the transgender community in the US and Cleveland and look forward to the future of advocacy around transgender rights and inclusion.”
