Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the end of slavery on June 19th, 1865 –the day when all African Americans became free.

This June 18th, head to Downtown Cleveland for Cleveland’s Juneteenth Freedom Fest. Beginning at 12 pm there will be live music, programming and food trucks until 9 pm, where the main act will take the stage and conclude with a fireworks display to top off the celebration.
