About this event

The purpose of this event is have a open discussion about the issues that the black and brown communities are facing in Cleveland. We will be focusing on the importance of voting rights, racial justice, and housing right.

Outcome
– Reflect on the current moment of national reckoning around racial justice, housing rights, voting, and black and brown immigrants and refugees treatment
– Ensure that Nina and Morgan have an open dialogue with a community members
– Surface the primary sources of harm facing Black and brown America in Cleveland
– Offer possible pathways for how we leverage this moment for transformative change
– Ensuring the black and brown community feel heard and engaged in the Conversation
– Educating the people about their voting rights and polls locations
– Inviting members from the black international community in Cleveland

Housing rights
– We will be focusing on tenant rights
– affordable housing
– Federal rent cap

Voting right
– John Lewis voting right bill
– People in jail gaining the right to vote
– Prison Gerrymandering

Marijuana Justice
– Legal and equitable cannabis Market

Black and brown Immigrant and refugees
– how to ensure that black and brown immigrant and refugee are receiving fair treatment
– We will have a convention about TPS ( Temporary Protected Status) for Black and brown people.
